Broward County commissioners are scheduled to vote on a developer’s request to build 400 apartments in Plantation during Tuesday’s meeting.

Sunrise Properties & Investments wants to build the apartments on 16 acres at 6901 West Sunrise Boulevard. A vacant 50,097-square-foot office building is located on the land.

Sunrise Properties asked commissioners to rezone the site from industrial to medium-density residential.
